Tomorrow I will be purchasing two cornelious kegs for $15 each and two glass carboys for $10 each. Some misc. goodies from various websites that are cheap (stoppers/hydrometer/3-piece plastic airlock). I'll probably be searching various websites for the basics of what is needed to brew my first beer.

I'm starting off simple, using supplies I got near a year ago off MrBeer.com so I'm not expecting much for my first few beers, but it's a start in the right direction. Money is still really tight, but I should have everything I need by the new year.

Anyone else home brew and have some parts that they realized they should have had from the start to make things easier?

I'm planning on starting home brewing early next year...I said that last year too, but this time I mean it.

I just took the plunge and bought a starter kit from midwest supplies (http://new.midwestsupplies.com/brewing-starter-kit.html). For my first brew I got their recipie kit for the Surly Ferocious IPA clone (http://new.midwestsupplies.com/ferocious-ipa.html). In addition I picked up a wort chiller and a 32 qt stainless steel pot.

Let the fun begin!
