2007 vintage. 37.7cl bottle poured into a tulip. Cork came off with a tiny pff. Poured into my glass and got just a very small white head after an aggressive pour. The beer is a hazy golden-orange in color with the golden portion being more noticeable.
Aroma - 4.0
I get some of the Belgian yeast character, and a little alcohol which reminds me of a tripel. There are also hints of lemon.
Mouthfeel - 3.5
Medium in body with medium carbonation. Maybe a bit under-carbonated.
Taste - 3.5
Some funk up front followed by a good portion of Belgian yeast character. There is a strong pale ale malt sweetness present following the yeast flavor. Lemony sourness kicks in mid-taste and sticks around through the finish. A somewhat harsh alcohol flavor appears towards the finish, which ruins it a bit for me.
Overall - 3.5
An interesting beer, sort of a soured tripel, with the flavors from the tripel standing out more than the Gueuze like flavors.
