Appearance - 4.0
Pours a cloudy with a dark copper hue. 2 inches of creamy off-white head sits on top and slowly fades leaving some sticky lace.
Aroma - 3.5
Smells very resinous and piny with tiny notes of caramel.
Mouthfeel - 3.5
Medium in body with sharp carbonation.
Taste - 3.0
The taste consists mainly of an abundance of resinous, piny hops, as detected in the nose. The hops are relentless and stick to the inside of your mouth. There doesn't appear to be much of a malt body to withstand the hops dosage. Very bitter on the finish. This beer is like biting into a hop cone, a bit too much for me.
Overall - 3.0
I love a hoppy beer, but this is a little too one dimensional, especially with the huge selection of hoppy brews in the north west.
