Alcohol By Volume: 6.80%
Beer Style: Amber Ale
Availability: Year Round
Average of 1 rating: 3.5 stars.
Description:
Run of the mill, malty ambers be forewarned: your extinction is imminent. That’s because Ambergeddon brings the malt AND the hops, the latter seriously lacking in your garden varietals. It’s a west coast style amber, which means you get tons of hoppy goodness on a firm bed of malt. Ambergeddon: Huge hops, big malt. Good luck.

Pours a small light-tan head when poured into a snifter. The head has a nice retention and leaves web of lacing as it recedes. The beer itself has a dark amber hue. Looks tasty!
Aroma - 4.5
The aroma has a rich malty sweetness consisting of caramel and cinnamon sticks. There is also a piny hop presence looming.
Mouthfeel - 4.0
The body is somewhere between light and medium. A little bit thinner than I expected. It has prickly carbonation, yet still has a some what creamy finish.
Taste - 4.0
The beer begins with sweet malts and caramel. A blast of pine with citrus sprinkled throughout hits next followed by some more sweetness and bitterness that lasts into the finish.
Overall - 3.5
My first beer from Ale Asylum and it's a good one. Much better than the mediocre Amber's most brewer's put out as their flagship beer.
