Description:
Double Stout brewed with Cocoa nibs and aged in bourbon barrels with cocoa nibs and vanilla beans. Rich and black with a thick cocoa head. Chocolate 'n vanilla aromas abound. Flavors of roasted malts, bourbon, oak and vanilla complement the cocoa.

Appearance - 4.5
Twist off, bottled 11/04/2010. Poured this one into my tulip. It produced a very small and short lasting dark tan head with no lacing. The beer is black with an inkling of light coming through near the top when held to the light.
Aroma - 4.0
The vanilla is immediately noticeable when moving the beer towards my mouth. I also get some cocoa aroma and very light bourbon notes.
Mouthfeel - 4.0
Medium in body with light carbonation.
Taste - 4.0
Cocoa flavors show up right off the bat followed by some subtle bourbon notes. Vanilla smooths out the bourbon and it's followed by a some more cocoa and a little bit of booziness.
Overall - 4.0
A very smooth and delicious beer. The cocoa, vanilla, and bourbon all complement one another without one standing out above the rest.
