Description:
Slick Nick Winter Ale is our most popular seasonal ale. The caramel and black malts we use to brew Slick Nick gives it the deep amber color. This insidious brew is best enjoyed during New England's freezing winter months. Slick Nick himself is pictured on our label casing out the Victoria Mansion in Portland Maine on a blustery night. Warm up with one of Maine's best winter offerings.

Appearance - 3.5
Pours a small white head that fades quickly leaving some spider web lace. The beer is clear and dark amber in color with visible carbonation.
Aroma - 3.0
Dark fruit, caramel, and some spicy notes I can't quite describe.
Mouthfeel - 3.5
Medium in body with moderate carbonation and a small amount of syrupiness.
Taste - 3.5
A mixture of caramel and dark fruit hit the tongue first. It's followed by mild spices including nutmeg. It has a pretty clean finish with mild bitterness.
Overall - 3.5
The flavors combine well to create a decent brew. The nose is a little lacking, but it's got a good taste.
