Appearance - 5.0
Pours a quarter inch of creamy dark tan head into a pint glass. The head has great retention and leaves some thick lacing. The beer is black with no light coming through.
Aroma - 3.0
The nose consists of lactose light roasty notes and cocoa(reminds me of Nesquick).
Mouthfeel - 4.5
Medium in body with light carbonation. Has a nice creamy feel to it.
Taste - 3.0
The taste was a little more bland than I had expected. There is a little lactose up front followed by light roastiness combined with subtle chocolate notes. I was expecting a much richer flavor.
Overall - 3.0
This beer has a great appearance and mouthfeel, but is lacking in the aroma and taste departments. I was really excited about this beer, but in the end I was a little let down.
