Scratch #39 IPA 3 of 4

Appearance - 4.0

It pours a half inch of off-white head into my over-sized tilip glass. The head receds fairly quickly but leaves a thick ring of sticky goodness in it's wake. The beer is clear and medium orange with hints of amber.

Aroma - 4.0

It's tropical, fruity, and piny all at the same time. The aroma seems to change with each waft. There is also some bready malt present.

Mouthfeel - 4.0

Medium in body with moderate carbonation.

Taste - 4.0

Malty sweetness is detected first which is then replaced with an array of hops flavors starting off with pine, followed up by citrus and finished with subtle tropical notes. It's got a nice clean finish with a little bitterness. Can't detect any alcohol, despite the high abv.

Overall - 4.5

My favorite, so far, of the 4 IPAs in this series. I love the combination of hops flavors and the subtle malt sweetness. Only one more left to try, can't wait!
