Description:
This is Dan's bold creation. You hold the international marriage of a sophisticated Bavarian Hefeweiss and an assertive American Pale Ale. Amarillo dry hopping drives Wisconsin Red Wheat. Traditional open top fermentation cultivates our proprietary Bavarian Weiss yeast in our own Wheat Beer Cellars. Absolutely 100% natural bottle conditioned. This is a living beer.
Expect to pour a thick creamy head into your glass. Savor the fierce onslaught of clove, cinnamon, and citrus nose. Our very popular Imperial Weizen ratchets down for the session. Drink to adventure and friends in Wisconsin. We are the state of beer.

This beer pours 2 1/2 fingers of creamy white head. The retention is great and creates a mountain of foam as the sides settle into the glass. The beer is very a very hazy pale yellow color. There is active carbonation present.
Aroma - 4.5
Fruity esters from the yeast stand out the most in the aroma. There is also cinnamon and faint citrus present.
Mouthfeel - 4.5
Light to medium in body with prickly carbonation.
Taste - 4.5
Lemon and citrus present themselves first followed by the fruity yeast character. Clove and hints of cinnamon round out the finish.
Overall - 4.5
I tend to not enjoy hefeweizens, but I can say this is the best one I've had thus far. I like the combination of assertive American hop character with the classic hefe with local ingredients used. Well worth trying.
