Appearance - 5.0
A very carbonated bottle. It fizzed up when popping the cork. It pours dark brown with a nice tan head that sticks around for a good bit.
Aroma - 4.5
The first wiff is almost all lactic sourness. On repeated wafts I get a little cinnamon.
Mouthfeel - 5.0
Medium in body with very active carbonation.
Taste - 4.5
As complex as they come. I couldn't tell by the aroma, but there are a ton of different things going on in this beer. There is a sweet oakiness up front that is difficult for me to describe. There is then a bit of cinnamon and hints of vanilla. The finish is where the sourness shows up. It finishes with a sour oakiness. The high alcohol content is nearly undectable.
Overall - 4.5
An extremley complex sour. There is so much going on in the flavor. Truly unique and delicious. This is certainly worth checking out.
