Pours a small dark tan head that disappears fairly quickly leaving minimal lacing. The beer is a deep dark brown and is mostly opaque.
Aroma - 4.0
Chocolate, roasted malts and some molasses are the main components of the aroma.
Mouthfeel - 4.5
Medium in body with moderate carbonation. It has a somewhat smooth creamy feel.
Taste - 4.5
Light cocoa up front followed by roasted malts. A little bit of a hop kick towards the middle proceeded by a dry roastiness and light hop bitterness.
Overall - 4.5
A truly excellent porter. It's got great body to match the delicious taste. The roasted malts provide several layers of flavor in the taste.
