Appearance - 4.5
An inch of white head sits atop a golden-range beer. The head has great retention and leaves some very nice lacing.
Aroma - 3.0
The aroma is balanced between sweet caramel malt and a combination of fruity and earthly hops.
Mouthfeel - 3.5
Medium in body with moderate carbonation. The beer is dry in the finish.
Taste - 3.0
Toffee up front followed by a mixture of caramel and bitter, earthy hops. The bitterness overpowers the sweetness and lasts into the aftertaste. The hop flavor is slightly herbal.
Overall - 3.0
An interesting take of the American IPA, but it falls short to many other great examples. It's worth a try for the low price.
