Description:
Scratch 31, the brothers and the brewers decided to revisit one of our favorite sweet spots – IPA – and have some fun with hop flavors. Dubbed ‘Citra of Brotherly Love’ in honor of Philly Beer week, Scratch #31 has generous amounts of Apollo, Cascade and Citra hops. This is our first use of Citra hops, which is known for an intense grapefruit aroma and flavor.
While showcasing the intense Citra flavor we added additional bitterness with Apollo and Chinook hops as well. Scratch #31 went through a bed of Chinook hops in the hopback and was dry-hopped with Cascade and Citra hops.

Appearance - 4.0
Pours an inch of creamy white head that had a nice retention and leaves some generous lacing. The beer is a light golden-orange with a slight haze to it.
Aroma - 4.5
The aroma has a huge citrus smell to it along with some caramel malt lurking in the background. It smells fruity and delicious.
Mouthfeel - 4.5
Medium in body with moderate carbonation. It's got a nice creamy feel to it.
Taste - 5.0
The flavor is similar to the nose. It's got a nice caramel backbone, but the real winner here is the hops. There is just a ton of citrus flavor from beginning to end ranging in intensity. It finishes pretty clean with s small bitterness.
Overall - 4.5
I'm really enjoying the citra hop variety. This beer showcases it's wonderful aroma and flavor. Get a bottle of this before they're gone, you won't regret it.
