Description:
2x4 India Pale Ale (7% ABV, 65 IBUs) sports Columbus, Nugget and Amarillo hops for a spicy, citrusy blend in both flavor and aroma. Backed by golden pale malts and a kick from flaked rye, the hops are pleasantly robust with just the right touch of bitterness at the end.

Appearance - 3.5
Pours a small white head that is gone before you know it. In it's wake it leaves some trails of lace. The beer is a thick golden orange.
Aroma - 4.5
The aroma is very nicely done. It's a combination of citrus and rye spiciness with a hint of caramel.
Mouthfeel - 4.0
Medium-full in body with adequate carbonation. This beer leaves a sticky, resinous feeling from the hops.
Taste - 4.0
This is a pretty hoppy brew, for sure. The caramel malts kick off the brew and abruptly muted as the citrus kicks in. The citrus flavor then melts into a spiciness from the rye. A long lasting bitterness finishes off the taste.
Overall - 4.0
This is a solid IPA. I'm glad they are using this beer to replace their old Weldspatter IPA.
