Appearance - 3.5
This brew pours an inch of off-white head that fades fairly quickly leaving a tiny ring around the glass. The beer is clear and dark copper in color.
Aroma - 3.0
The first thing I detect in the nose is a pleasant malt sweetness. Giving it another swirl I pick up some fruity notes in the background.
Mouthfeel - 3.0
Light-medium in body with sharp, astringent carbonation. Despite this, there is a bit of creaminess in the mouth feel.
Taste - 3.0
There's a bit of graininess and sweet malt up front. It's followed by a sharp bitterness and floral hops that last into the finish. It's very crisp and clean.
Overall - 3.0
A decent English bitter ale. It's got a nice floral bitterness, with a bit of malt to help balance it from being overly bitter.
