Paradise Porter

Appearance - 5.0

Pours an inch of creamy tan head that has excellent retention and leaves some nice lacing. The beer is mostly opaque, and is dark brown-black in color.

Aroma - 3.5

A little bit of roasted and chocolate malt with just a tiny hint of hops in the nose.

Mouthfeel - 4.5

Medium in body with moderate carbonation. It's got a nice smooth, creamy feel.

Taste - 3.5

It's a little plain when it comes to the taste. You get the chocolate and roasted notes from the nose, however it's all very subtle which doesn't excite the taste buds. It finishes dry from the hops. It's balanced, but average at best.

Overall - 3.5

It looks great and has a nice feel, but when it comes to the aroma and taste it leaves a good bit to be desired. It's still tasty, I was just hoping for something a bit more flavorful.
