Appearance - 4.5

Pretty cool little corked and caged 375ml bottle. Was lucky enough to score one of these when I was in Philly. It pours an inch of soft white head that leaves some lacing before it quickly settles. The beer is reddish brown and has a mostly clear appearance.

Aroma - 4.5

Tart, sour cherries is the most prominent component of the aroma. There's also some fruity esters from the Belgian yeast strain used.

Mouthfeel - 5.0

Light-medium in body with very active, crisp carbonation.

Taste - 5.0

A fairly intense sourness starts off the beer. Tart cherries follow along with an underlying sweetness which helps complement the sourness. There are also some subtle oak characters present. The sour cherry flavor lingers in the mouth after swallowed.

Overall - 5.0

This is only my 3rd sour ale, but I can say I'm certainly a fan of the style. Supplication tastes great and was well worth the price of admission. The cherries provide a nice flavor profile and the beer isn't too puckering sour. Highly recommended.
