Description:
Jet-black in color, this monster smells of coffee and chocolate. The taste is much of the same, with hints of creamy toffee and roasted malt. Smooth and delicious, this medium bodied ale is all about the malts, but has enough hop bitterness to be balanced.

Appearance - 4.5
Pours a deep dark brown with a huge head. The head is light tan and very creamy. It has great retention nad leaves some decent lacing.
Aroma - 4.0
Chocolate and coffee and the predominate aromas. It's not weak either, the smell hits you pretty nicely.
Mouthfeel - 4.5
Medium in body and lightly carbonated. This leaves a nice smooth creamy feel in the mouth.
Taste - 4.0
Almost identical to the nose. The chocolate hits first then slowly fades into the coffee flavor. The coffee flavor finishes off the beer with a nice bitterness. Suprisingly the alcohol is no where to be found in the taste.
Overall - 4.5
An excellent stout. It's packed with plenty of flavor and a great aroma and mouthfeel. Often time I skip over these regional year rounders in search of the more extreme/rare beers. This beer shows me that I certainly need to give these beers more attention.
