Appearance - 5.0
Pours an inch of fluffy white head that sticks around forever leaving tons of lacing. The beer has a hazy dark / burnt orange appearance.
Aroma - 3.5
Surprisingly the aroma consists mostly of bready malt, caramel, and toffee. There is a faint hint of pine and alcohol as well.
Mouthfeel - 4.0
Full in body with good carbonation. There is a good deal of hops oils present giving it a slick feel.
Taste - 3.5
The taste follows the nose pretty well except the resiny piny hops step it up a few notches. You still get the caramel and toffee as well as a slightly greater alcohol presence.
Overall - 4.0
Overall it's a nice twist on the 90 min IPA. The bottle I reviewed was a bit dated, so I wouldn't mind trying it again fresh if I got the chance.
