Appearance - 4.0
Pours 2 fingers of fluffy white head that has a nice retention and leaves lots of sticky lacing. The beer is clear and copper and orange in color.
Aroma - 3.5
Caramel malt, a bit of biscuit, and a nice does of grapefruit/pine/citrus. It's got a pretty nice nose, but it's not quite as potent as I expected it to be.
Mouthfeel - 4.0
Medium in body and adequately carbonated. Slightly creamy in the mouth.
Taste - 4.0
It starts off with the biscuit like malts and a muted caramel flavor. Just when I was about to be disappointed I get a blast of orange, citrus and finally a grapefruit bitterness. The caramel malt comes back, more prominent towards the finish. The finish is dry and bitter.
Overall - 4.0
A nice west coast IPA made right here on the east coast! I personally like this more than the Hops Infusion, and would love to see it come into rotation.
