There was a bit of foam when I popped the cork on this one. I poured it into an oversized-tulip. It poured a huge 3 finger head. The head is light tan and creamy. The head sticks around for awhile producing a huge cap. The beer is ruby red and clear. There is a good amount of carbonation visible.
Aroma - 3.5
The aroma consists of a mixture of spices. I could make out nutmeg, cinnamon, and something green. There is also a crystal malt presence, but the spice stand out the most.
Mouthfeel - 3.5
The body is light-medium with a crisp active carbonation. The carbonation is prickly on the tongue.
Taste - 3.5
A pretty sweet malty start followed by the spice mixture experienced in the aroma. The spices are more green in the taste with the nutmeg and cinnamon adding subtle, complementing notes.
Overall - 3.5
A very spice forward beer. The carbonation is a bit high, but other than that it's a pretty good beer. I'm not big on this style, but it has some nice qualities.
