Appearance - 4.5
After the pour it generates about an inch of off-white head that fades fairly quickly but leaves some nice spider lacing and settles as a thick ring. The beer is slightly hazy and has a dark amber with a good amount of orange accents.
Aroma - 4.0
Lots of juicy grapefruit, citrus, and orange on the nose. The Summit hops also add the tiniest bit of onion to the aroma.
Mouthfeel - 5.0
Medium-full in body. Lots of hop bitterness and oils coat the inside of the mouth. The carbonation is spot on.
Taste - 4.0
There is just a ton of grapefruit rind bitterness in this brew. The polar opposite of balanced. The orange and citrus from the aroma are present, but at much smaller rates than the grapefruit. There is a very light malt presence towards the end. Finishes very bitter and dry, and it lingers for a good bit.
Overall - 4.5
This is a great brew, I love the experimentation with the different types of hops. Seems like I just tried Obliteration V, and I got VI already. Looking forward to the next iteration.
