BackDraft Chocolate Porter

Appearance - 3.5

Pours about 1 inch of tan head that has a good retention and leaves trails of lace as it settles. The beer is a clear dark brown.

Aroma - 3.0

Slightly fruity with some roasted malts and a small amount of chocolate. The aroma was pretty mild.

Mouthfeel - 2.5

Light-medium in body, a little too thin in my opinion. Carbonated well.

Taste - 3.0

Dry roasted malts, with a tiny bit of chocolate. It's similar to the nose, just not a whole lot of flavor.

Overall - 3.0

It lacks in complexity and chocolate flavor, especially for 'chocolate' being in the name. A mediocre porter, I'd probably pass up if I see it again.
