Duck-Rabbit Schwarzbier

Appearance - 4.0

Had this on tap at a local bar. The beer poured about 1 finger of tan head that dissipated fairly quickly leaving a small ring. The beer is a black with ruby highlights when held to the light.

Aroma - 3.5

Roasted coffee, a bit of chocolate and molasses. There is also a a small amount of nuttiness in the aroma.

Mouthfeel - 4.0

Medium in body, smooth and dry in the mouth. Carbonation is good.

Taste - 4.5

Some roasted coffee up front followed by molasses and some other sweet malt. It finishes with a bitter chocolate/coffee taste.

Overall - 4.5

This is a great beer, certainly worth trying. This beer is very refreshing and approachable.
