Appearance - 4.0
Pours one finger of white head with pretty good retention. It leaves small trails of lacing as the head collapses. The beer looks like a wheat beer with the clearness and golden straw color.
Aroma - 4.0
An enticing aroma. Smells similar to their Hop Sun beer, but with a more pungent aroma. A nice mix of citrus, lemon and sweet malts.
Mouthfeel - 4.5
Very uncharacteristic of a wheat beer in the mouth feel. It actually has a medium feel to it. It also has a crispness combined with a creaminess as well. Pretty unique for this style.
Taste - 4.5
A good bit of bready dough up front followed by a nice mix of sweet malt and lemon hops. It's balanced very nicely. There are just small traces of alcohol in the taste.
Overall - 4.5
Hey, look it's an American wheat beer that's got some flavor, and is refreshing! This is a pretty unique brew, don't see too many brewers doing imperial wheat beers. Worth a try for sure.
