Mojo Risin' Double IPA

Appearance - 5.0

Pours 2 fingers of fluffy white head. It has a great retention and laves a ton of sticky lacing. The beer is a hazy copper color.

Aroma - 4.0

Sweet caramelized malts and resiny pine dominate the aroma. The piny hops beat out the malts in the overall smell. There is also a hint of alcohol.

Mouthfeel - 3.5

A medium-full bodied beer with a sticky, syrupy feel. It has a pretty high carbonation level, but doesn't ruin the mouth feel.

Taste - 3.5

Some pale malts and light caramel are apparent at at first. Lots of piny hops and some alcohol flavor is present towards the end. There is a good bit of alcohol heat present in the finish. Has a pretty bitter finish, that sticks around for awhile.

Overall - 3.5

A pretty well rounded DIPA. There isn't an awful lot of complexity going on in the taste, but it works.
