Description:
Brewed to give the stout a smoother, almost slick, mouthfeel with a nice finish of coffee provided by Cumberland Coffee and Tea Company. Dark malts are used to give this beer a very complex roast flavor. Lower bittering rates ~30 IBU’s helps put the flavor highlighting the maltiness, and roasted malt. ABV is coming in around 7% on this one!

Appearance - 4.0
Large brown head, lasting and with a decent lace. Almost black in color, some brown edging appears.
Aroma - 4.5
Lots of coffee and roasty notes to tantalize you. Chocolate also. All are large and distinct, nice.
Mouthfeel - 4.0
Medium bodied, lightly chewy. Oily and slick on the palate. Velvety smooth with a little astringency that i like.
Taste - 4.5
Alot like the aroma only bigger and bolder. All the coffee and roasty notes playing well together with some caramel notes hiding in there. Black patent bitterness. Really tastey!
Overall - 4.5
Draft at the brewery last saturday.A real surprise! Big and roasty aromas and flavors. Not a palate killer either. Fairly easy to drink but not something i,d drink alot of at one sitting. Very well made and enjoyable.Just grabs you when you get it in front of you, Well done Springhouse! May be some bottles coming soon?? ;)
