Description:
Pilzilla is a beer that I've been brewing for years. Each year it gets bigger and bigger. Nicknamed "The beer that took over Tokyo". It is an unfiltered Keller Bier. Nicley hopped at this point with 9 different kinds of hops at 10 additions and about 6.75 % alc. Each year we will add another variety of hop and bump the alc a bit. This is listed on Beer Advocate as the highest rated Kellerbier in the world.
Bottle Conditioned and Refermented.
This is not your average pilsner, get it before we drink it all! Prost!!

Appearance - 4.5
Pours 2 fingers of soapy white head that sticks around for awhile, creating a mountain of head and leaving generous lacing. The beer is hazy and has a light straw color. There are lots of carbonation bubbles racing to the top and some visible sediment.
Aroma - 3.5
Lots of hops typically used in Czech pilsners on the nose. There is also some grain and some more earthy hops.
Mouthfeel - 3.0
Light-medium in body. I think it's a little over-carbonated, despite this, it retains a little creaminess, and is certainly crisp.
Taste - 3.5
This is certainly a hoppy beer, lots of earthy hops hit first followed by a bready malt. There are more hops after the malt with a slight lemon twist followed by some grassy hops leaving a slightly bitter finish. Retains a lot of the pilsner qualities but still has it's own uniqueness.
Overall - 3.5
Not bad, it's a hopped up Pilsner with it's own twist. I think it's over-carbonated, but still offers a refreshing taste. Worth a try.
