Description:
High in the winter sky, two parallel stick figures are visible & known as “the twins,” or the constellation Gemini. The astronauts of the 1960s flew as teams of two in a program named after the celestial pairing. At Southern Tier, we have our own fraternal twins, Hoppe & Unearthly. Blended together & placed in this vessel, the mission of our Gemini is to travel high & take passengers on a journey far into the heavens.

Appearance - 4.0
Pours 2 fingers of sticky white head. Retention is good, and there is plenty of lacing on the glass. It has the classic DIPA golden orange color with a slight haze to it.
Aroma - 4.0
Lots of flowery hops on the nose. There also a bit of citrus and pineapple.
Mouthfeel - 4.0
Medium-full in body with a creamy texture to it. Carbonation is good. There's also a little bit of an oily feeling from the hops.
Taste - 4.0
Having tried both Hoppe and Unearthly, I can definitely taste portions of both in this mixture. Floral/piny hops and a touch of caramel and bready malts. It finishes more like Hoppe with a wheat flavor. It's not overly bitter at all. The high alcohol content is well hidden.
Overall - 4.0
This is a nice combination of 2 very good beers. It's well balanced and worth a try for anyone who has tried Hoppe, Unearthly, or both.
