Double Wide I.P.A.

Description:
Double-Wide I.P.A. uses Zeus and Magnum hops for both bittering and aroma, with Ahtanum hops added solely for aroma. Two additional dry hopping regimens employ Ahtanum, Centennial, and Chinook varietals. The resulting beer – not surprisingly – has a hop forward aroma, redolent of peach and apricot. The assertive flavor bursts forth with citrus notes of blood orange and lemon, a caramel malt backbone serves to balance the intensity of the hops. There is little restraint in the flavor of this beer; it is certainly not for the pedestrian palate.

Pours 2 fingers of frothy off-white head from a 750ml bottle. The head has great retention and sticks to every surface it touches. The beer is a slightly hazy dark copper color.
Aroma - 3.5
The aroma has nice mellow peach aroma. It smells good, but I was hoping for a more pungent aroma.
Mouthfeel - 4.5
Medium in body with moderate carbonation. Has a nice creamy feel to it.
Taste - 3.5
A nice bit of citrus followed by a blast of orange. There's a little bit of pepper flavor throughout. It finishes with a little bit of orange rind mixed with a bit of alcohol.

Not your typical DIPA, but still has it's good qualities. It has a nice feel and look. I enjoyed the taste, but it's certainly different from your normal hop bomb DIPA, which I tend to prefer.
