Appearance - 4.0

Pours a dark brown with a small tan head that recedes quickly leaving no lacing on the glass.

Aroma - 3.5

A very sweet malty aroma with molasses, liquorice, raisins and dark fruit. There's also an alcohol presence.

Mouthfeel - 4.0

A full bodied beer, lightly carbonated. It has a smooth creamy feeling and a little bit of of a sticky syrupy feel.

Taste - 3.5

Similar to the nose with a good bit of sweetness. Molasses and caramel are present up front followed by some dark fruit. This one is pretty boozy with some pretty strong alcohol heat the whole way down.

Overall - 3.5

I think this beer would benefit from some age. A pretty good brew in its current state, but I can imagine upping it's score a few points with a little age.
