Espresso Oak Aged Yeti Imperial Stout is a new addition to the Yeti clan. A generous infusion of Denver’s own Pablo’s espresso adds yet another layer of complexity to this beer, combining with the vanilla oak character, intense roasty maltiness and bold hop profile to create a whole new breed of mythical creature. It’s official, you can now have Yeti with breakfast.

Appearance - 4.5
Poured into my tulip glass it produces one inch of brown, creamy head. The head recedes fairly quickly leaving bits of sticky lacing behind. The beer itself is pitch black, looks like motor oil.
Aroma - 4.5
The expresso aroma is noticed immediately. It smells great, but isn't overpowering. The expresso gives way a little bit revealing some chocolate, roasted notes, and some earthy hops.
Mouthfeel - 4.5
Full in body and adequately carbonated. There is some creaminess to the texture.
Taste - 5.0
Milk chocolate and vanilla notes hit the tongue first. Some oak character is present next followed by the expresso flavors. The beer finishes with a coffee bitterness.
Overall - 5.0
A nicely done imperial stout. The base beer combined with the oak and coffee work very well together. Looking forward to trying the other varieties.
