Description:
Abita Turbodog is a dark brown ale brewed with Willamette hops and a combination of British pale, crystal and chocolate malts.
This combination gives Turbodog its rich body and color and a sweet chocolate-toffee like flavor. Turbodog began as a specialty ale but has gained a huge loyal following and has become one of our three flagship brews.
Just a bit stronger than our other brews, so . . .beware of the dog!

This is my go to beer besides Shiner Hefe. Good price, taste and ABV. Not as heavy in my stomach as porters/stouts but still a dark beer which is nice in the summer.

Appearance - 3.5
A muddy dark brown colour with a light reddish tinge. Creamy coloured head that leaves thick trails down the glass.
Aroma - 3.0
Fruity roasted sweet smell.
Mouthfeel - 2.5
Thick but almost syrupy feel.
Taste - 3.0
A fruity flavour that adds bitterness which lingers on for a while.
Overall - 3.0
A decent dark ale that is surprisingly sweet.
