Stone Cali-Belgique

Appearance - 3.5

Had this on draft. It poured about an inch of white head that had good retention and left some lacing. The beer itself was a faint orange color and was mostly clear.

Aroma - 4.0

A fairly fruity aroma with touches of spice. Citrus hops are also apparent in the nose.

Mouthfeel - 3.5

Medium in body and slightly syrupy. Good carbonation.

Taste - 3.5

Grapefruit, orange, bubblegum, pepper, and a bit of the Belgian yeast are present in the taste. A good amount of hops, but not overpowering. Has a light bitterness in the finish.

Overall - 3.5

A decent offering from Stone. I like the experimentation with the hybrid Belgian/West Coast IPA.
