Flower Power India Pale Ale

Appearance - 4.0

Pouring into a standard pint produced a 1/2" of white head that has a decent retention and leaves some spider web lacing. The beer is golden orange in color with a bit more orange in the appearance. It's mostly clear and has carbonation bubbles present.

Aroma - 4.0

A nice stinky hop aroma hits you in the face. Theres a combination of flowery and citrusy hops, with the former being the more prevalent. There's also a little bit of sweet malt lurking in the background.

Mouthfeel - 4.5

Light-medium in body with moderate carbonation.

Taste - 4.5

The sweet malt hits first and fades out towards the finish. The hops hit around mid-taste, starting off with a citrus zest, and then quickly overcome by a field of flowery hops. When it's all done with you've got a lingering bitterness from the flowery hops to remind you of how delicious this beer is. What's shocking is reading that this beer contains 8% alcohol, I say "what alcohol?"

Overall - 4.5

I was fortunate enough to try a super fresh batch (2 weeks in the bottle) and I love this stuff. Flower Power is a great name because it describes a lot of the flavor and aroma perfectly. This is a great IPA, and I would surly recommend it to all IPA lovers.
