The CBC Idiot IPA is an all natural India Pale Ale. A big beer with an 8.5% ABV and brewed with over 3 lbs of hops per barrell. Watch out, this unfiltered "San Diego IPA" has been known to reduce even the most intelligent to a blithering "idiot".

Appearance - 4.0
This beer produces an inch of fluffy white head when poured into a tulip. The beer is a hazy, medium golden orange. There is visible hop matter at the bottom of the glass and some in the head. Haven't seen that before, besides in one of my homebrews. The head has very good retention and leaves some thick lacing.
Aroma - 4.0
The aroma is noticeable within 2 feet from the glass. It has a strong pine aroma with hints of caramel malts. There are also subtle orange notes.
Mouthfeel - 4.0
Medium to full in body with good carbonation. The oils from the hops coat the inside of the mouth. There is a little bit of creaminess in the finish.
Taste - 4.0
This beer is a pallet destroyer. Up front is the tiniest amount of caramel malt followed by a barrage of piny hops. Mixed in with the pine are traces of citrus and orange. It has a very bitter long lasting finish. There is a little bit of alcohol warming as the beer goes down.
Overall - 4.0
This is a hop monster that will wreck your taste buds. It's very good, but if you don't like hoppy beers, you may want to skip this one. Any hophead will love this brew.
