Hoptimus Prime

Appearance - 3.5

Pours one finger of fluffy white head. The head settles very quickly leaving a thick ring of lace. The beer is a hazy, murky orange.

Aroma - 3.5

Piny hops, grapefruit and a bit of citrus. There is also a bit of bready malt. Overall the aroma is fairly tame.

Mouthfeel - 3.5

Medium in body with moderate carbonation and a some what creamy feel. The hops linger in the mouth after swallowing, coating it pretty well.

Taste - 3.5

A small bite of citrus up front followed by some bready malts. Next up are some piny hops and then grapefruit and alcohol finish up the taste. The alcohol is noticeable in the after taste. The mix of ingredients just don't go well enough together, they each compete with one another too much.

Overall - 3.5

This is a good brew, but wouldn't be in my top choices for imperial IPA's.
