Description:
Pours a spectacular crimson red with a creamy tan head. Brewed with four varieties of Belgian caramel malts imparting a sweet richness. Red's Rye is impressively balanced with its hop bitterness and huge citrus bouquet achieved from the immense amarillo dry hop. The generous amount of malted rye used accentuates a spicy crisp finish.

Appearance - 4.0
Pours 1 finger of off-white head. It settles fairly quick, but leaves some nice lacing. The beer is a dark copper color with lots of carbonation bubbles.
Aroma - 4.5
Lots of sweet caramel malt and notes of citrus flavored hops.
Mouthfeel - 4.0
Medium in body with a smooth feel to it. The carbonation is not overly done and works well.
Taste - 4.5
The spiciness of the rye malts are much more noticeable in the taste than in the aroma. A good mix of the sweet malts and citrus and pine hops. The rye compliments the flavor the whole way through, and adds a nice spiciness to the finish. It finishes crisp and clean.
Overall - 4.5
Yet another delicious rye beer. This style is beginning to become a favorite of mine. Excellent balance and taste, this is a great year round beer that everyone should try.
