Description:
A bit of backwoods pleasure without the banjo. This stout is brewed with a hint of coffee and vanilla then aged in oak bourbon barrels. Our process ensures that strong bourbon undertones come through in the finish in every batch we brew. We recommend decanting at room temperature and best enjoyed in a brandy snifter.

Appearance - 5.0
Had this on nitro at a small deli in Campbelltown, PA. It pours 2 fingers of light chocolate colored head that lasts most the way down and leaves some good lacing. The beer is black as night with no light coming through at all.
Aroma - 4.5
A very malty aroma. Lots of chocolate and coffee initially. Some other roasted malts show up as well as a hint of bourbon.
Mouthfeel - 5.0
Perfect feel to it, velvety and smooth. A full-bodied beer and the carbonation is spot on. It's thick, but not too thick.
Taste - 5.0
A great imperial stout. It's much like the nose. Lots of coffee and chocolate in the front followed by some more roasted malts with a bourbon finish. The booze is pretty well hidden, but rears it's head slightly in the finish leaving a hot alcohol burn.
Overall - 5.0
This is one damn good stout, I'm glad I had a chance to try it on draft. This big beer definitely lives up to the hype. If you have the chance to try this, run don't walk, and pick some up.
