The Granddaddy of Pale Ales, this style got its start as a special brew for English soldiers living in India. Our IPA is a medium bodied ale, with a light copper color characterized by an intense hop flavor, with a full flowery hop aroma and higher alcohol content.

Appearance - 4.0
Intentionally vigorous pour results in a bulbous, frothy head that sticks well to the glass. The color is a slightly hazy copper gold.
Aroma - 2.0
Spicy hop aroma is underwhelming but pleasant, bits of sweet papaya compete with a citrusy undertone, complicating the profile in a not-entirely welcome way. I keep sniffing, expecting more, but it remains low, like bass without a subwoofer. Turned spring soil, without the grass.
Mouthfeel - 4.0
smooth at the start, bite of carbonation on the tip of the tounge. Hop bitternes lingers nicely at the back of the tongue.
Taste - 4.0
Light hop bitterness at the back of the tongue, lingers for a pleasant amount of time. Very small amount little malty sweetness needed to balance the lack of overpowering hops, which makes this more drinkable that the bigger IPAs.
Overall - 3.0
With the right mix of balance and pleasing bitter remnants, I’d qualify this as a pretty drinkable beer. I could pop back a few.
