Appearance - 4.0

Our red ale here, comes with a very nice deep amber colour and a fairly light white head. Very clear with light carbonation bubbling from the bottom to the top of the mug. Seems very inviting and clean.

Aroma - 3.0

This beer has a sharp almost sweet smell to it, where you can tell the beer has a high alcohol content. I'd almost say the smell reminds me of a fig.

Mouthfeel - 4.0

This beer definitely is not light, but nor is it syrupy. It fits in between, at a nice full feeling, the alcohol content leaving a warm feeling in the back of your throat. Swirling around in your mouth brings out the full force of the carbonation, nice and tingly.

Taste - 2.0

A very lingering bitter taste is the first thing I notice from start to end. Almost metallic to the taste buds and did I say it lingers?

Overall - 3.0

Tasting like what I assume is the horse shoe shown on the front of the bottle, I feel the beer just isn't for me. If you enjoy minutes of lingering bitter metallic taste, you might want to give it a try.
