Had this from a nitro-can and poured it into a pint glass. It pours 1 1/2 fingers of creamy looking tan head. The beer is very black, and can't see through it at all. The retention is great leaving trails all the way down.
Aroma - 4.5
A great aroma, the chocolate really shines here. There's also some other assorted roasted malts. Great smell.
Mouthfeel - 5.0
A medium-bodied beer with perfect carbonation. It's very smooth and creamy feeling. Spot on for the style.
Taste - 3.5
A good amount of chocolate in the first swallow, followed by some bitterness and another helping of chocolate and roasted malts. It is good, but I was a little let down by the taste, I was expecting a little more flavor. It's still a great beer to drink, however.

Don't let the "double chocolate" in the name fool you. This is a beer. It's more of a subtle taste, but more so than your average beer with chocolate flavoring. It's very easy to drink and isn't too heavy. I would reccomend this beer to others.

Black as night. This beer could hold a competition with your favorite black coffee. The head has a creamy look and a caramel or hazelnut colour. Leaves a layer of foam around the glass as you drink it down.

at first sniff the fact that it's a beer really stands out. after some more you get through that and can catch what smells more like bitter chocolate.

A little more watery then I was expecting. light carbonation that fits well with the flavour.

Again it hits telling you it's just a beer before quickly reminding you of it's lingering bitterness common with a stout. The added chocolate is subtle yet more noticeable then most chocolate stouts that I have tried.

Overall with a dark colour that beckons me and the added chocolate to the bitterness of a stout, this beer feels great with a calm conversation or a relaxing evening with a movie.
