Pours a dark reddish-brown clay color, with lots of ruby highlights when held to the light. About an inch of light tan head accumulates and has a nice retention but leaves little lacing.
Aroma - 3.5
Very interesting aroma...there is definitely some smokiness, but it also reminds of me of bologna and bacon.
Mouthfeel - 4.0
Medium in body, lightly carbonated. Pretty creamy feel to it.
Taste - 3.5
Very similar to the nose. You get the bologna taste followed by a nice dose of malts and a bit of wood. The finish leaves a smoky aftertaste in the mouth.
Overall - 4.0
An excellent smoked beer, with a good bit of wood and bologna in the taste. Well worth a try.

Full-bodied and smoky aroma gives you a hint of what is in store.

Overpowering smokey flavor. Previous reviewer suggested it is an acquired taste. This reviewer doesn't expect to acquire that taste.
I appreciate smoky beers and food, this one had the dial turned far too high.
Overall - 2.0
In a word, this beer is undrinkable. Despite being a fan of higher end, full-bodied beers (favorites include Utopias, Sam Adams black lager, Becks dark, Sam Smith's oatmeal stout), this one is simply too much.
Tastes like you shoved your head into a fireplace that has been smoldering for hours.

Amazingly good beer, but some might find that the smoke flavor makes it an acquired taste.
