Description:
Weldspatter IPA is not your typical India Pale Ale. First of all, it isn’t as aggressively hopped as many other American versions. Second, it isn’t quite as pale. Balance is a lovely thing in beers and Weldspatter IPA achieves balance without compromising hop presence. The hop flavor and aroma abound, but the bitterness is held in check to give our IPA a pleasant malt character as well.

Appearance - 4.0
Had this on tap at a local pub. It pours a hazy amber color with a good 2 fingers worth of off-white head. The head sticks around for a good bit and leaves very good lacing on the insde of the glass.
Aroma - 3.0
A spicy aroma, along with some piney hops. Also a slight sweet malty smell mixed in there.
Mouthfeel - 3.0
A Medium bodied beer with good carbonation.
Taste - 3.0
Has a pretty sweet, malty beginning followed by some piney hops. It ends with a very dry, bitter aftertaste which is pretty nice since I am a hops fan.
Overall - 3.5
A decent brew, that I would try again. Slightly different then your average American IPA because of the maltiness. Very drinkable.
