Some of Magic Hat's IPAs seem like exercises in beer-making - notable achievements, but not much fun on the palate (bottle labels aside). I'm looking at you, Lucky Kat.
Not so the hI.P.A. This beer just sits in your mouth & sings. Full of individuality & character, as much a companion as a beverage.

Appearance - 4.0
Poured from a bottle into a standard pint glass. There is about 1 and 1/2 fingers worth of slightly off white head that lingers for about half the beer and leaves very nice lacing. It is a slightly hazy golden amber color.
Aroma - 4.0
I can make out strong citrus hops and a caramel malt aroma.
Mouthfeel - 4.0
A medium bodied beer that has a good amount of carbonation and is very smooth, almost creamy.
Taste - 4.0
Has a tart, mildly malty taste. It also has a nice amount of piney hops flavor followed by a slightly bitter taste, leaving the hops flavor linger after you swallow.
Overall - 3.0
A very nice IPA. It's well rounded and will please hops heads.
