Stoudt's American Pale Ale

Appearance - 3.5

Pouring this brew into a pint glass yields 1 1/2 fingers of white head that has a good retention and leaves some lacing. The beer is clear with plenty of carbonation bubbles visible. It's golden-orange in color.

Aroma - 3.5

Nose contains some bready and caramel malts as well as hints of citrus from the hops.

Mouthfeel - 3.5

Light in body with adequate carbonation and a crisp taste.

Taste - 3.5

The taste mimics the nose pretty well. There is a little caramel, but the bready flavor dominates and the hops are more apparent in the taste then in the nose. The hops are more flowery in the taste with a small amount of citrus on the finish.

Overall - 3.5

This is a great summertime beer, and would also make a good lawnmower beer. It has a nice blend of ingredients and is very crisp and refreshing.
