Appearance - 5.0
Had this several times on tap, and now from a 22oz bottle. The beer pour is gorgeous. An inch of fluffy off-white head accumulates and leaves mounds of lacing when it finally decides to recede. The beer has a slight haze to it, and is dark copper in color.
Aroma - 4.5
The aroma is intoxicating, lots of candied caramel, grapefruit and a splash of citrus. As it warms up it becomes even more pronounced.
Mouthfeel - 5.0
Medium in body with moderate carbonation. The feel is smooth and creamy, despite a bit of resin coating the mouth from the hops. It drys the mouth.
Taste - 4.5
A bit of citrus up front followed by a light caramel malt backbone. Grapefruit rind and a touch of alcohol round off the beer. A delicious hops bitterness sticks around for a good bit. This one will definitely destroy your palate for the evening.
Overall - 4.5
I like the balance with this one, sure it's on the hoppy side, but the sweet malt plays a nice part in the balancing act. Love the label too, Two big hops in a bra with "D"s on them.
