Appearance - 4.0
The beer pours clean and bubbly into a glass, whether from a bottle or an tap. The head is light and bubbly looking, with bubbles rising rapidly through the reddish-brown colored brew.
Aroma - 4.0
Spicy smells accented with a roasted barley as it bubbles to the top.
Mouthfeel - 4.0
The bubbles tickle the tongue aromaticly as the buttery-smooth brew is consumed.
Taste - 4.5
It's a strange mix of pleasant tastes: at times sweet and spicy in alternating waves. There are waves within each malt, each blending into a seamless whole as the roasted barley gives up carmel hints.
Overall - 4.0
In many ways a mutt-beer of English Brown Ales, this beer is a satisfyingly perky mix.
