Bourbon County Brand Stout
Brewery: Goose Island Beer Company - Clybourn
Alcohol By Volume: 13.00%
Beer Style: Imperial Stout
Availability: Seasonal
Average of 3 ratings: 4.5 stars.
Description:
Brewed in honor of the 1000th batch at our original Clybourn brewpub. A liquid as dark and dense as a black hole with thick foam the color of a bourbon barrel. The nose is an intense mix of charred oak, chocolate, vanilla, caramel and smoke. One sip has more flavor than your average case of beer. A great cigar beer.

Pours thick and is dark as night. No head was present in the pour.
Aroma - 5.0
Wow, a ton of bourbon on the nose. There's also a bit of roasted malts and chocolate present. If you are a bourbon lover, you are in heaven with this brew.
Mouthfeel - 5.0
Full in body with a thick, creamy feel to it. Perfect feel for the style, no complaints from me.
Taste - 4.0
Up front are chocolate and roasted malts. Next up is a strong bourbon flavor that lingers toward the finish but eventually finishes with a roastiness.
Overall - 5.0
Awesome stout, makes me want to actually try bourbon. I'm very glad I was able to give this one a try, would love to try it again, and age some.
